In Michigan, Visual Arts Education is a K-12 certification so student teachers spend 7 weeks in an elementary school and 7 weeks in a high school. I joke that I won the student teacher lottery -- but it's true. Both of my cooperating teachers were amazing artists and mentors. The time went so fast and now I'm getting sad that it's going to be done at the end of next week. I have learned a ton and am grateful for so much. Hopefully I will find a job where I can get paid to do this every day.
